I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! requires famous faces to strip back to basics, but viewers have quickly spotted Tulisa Contostavlosis looking less jungle, and more red carpet.
While living down under, beauty items are a contraband item and so contestants have to go without beauty products and makeup.
There have been exceptions such as Georgia Toffolo, who was given a medical exception for concealer due to having acne, and this year, Dean McCullough has moisturiser as his luxury item.
Viewers have been wondering if Tulisa, 36, has also found a way to bend the rules.
‘Why is Tulisa allowed make up in the jungle? #ImACeleb’ asked Mo on X.
An equally inquisitive Mike typed: ‘Where is Tulisa getting all the make up from.’
‘I’m convinced some of the women are wearing make up this year,’ wrote Lauren. All of the women, including Coleen Rooney and Jane Moore, do look beautiful so it’s understandable that people may suspect they’ve got secret tricks.
‘Why is Tulisa allowed to wear makeup? (Just curious – no hate),’ wrote Sarah.
‘It’ll be tattooed makeup,’ responded Alessandra (spoiler: she is correct).
Audrey Fenwick was a little more annoyed about the situation: ‘I thought the participants in #ImACeleb weren’t allowed to have ‘home comforts’ and had to live with only the bare essentials? So why are some of the women wearing full make up and false eyelashes (even when sleeping).’
Tunie Brandon demanded answers: ‘I am assuming Jane Moore’s and Tulisa’s eyelashes and eye make up are glued and that Tulisa’s lips and eyebrows are tattooed because otherwise I would accuse the show of allowing them special privileges #ImACeleb NOT FAIR please clarify.’
Luckily, Tulisa doesn’t gatekeep and has given an in-depth explanation of how she creates her look on Instagram stories, which she has conveniently made into a highlight on her profile.
In order to be a low maintenance girl, she has some high maintenance treatments. Work smarter, not harder.
Starting off, the N-Dubz singer has a SkinCan facial, which Tulisa has been getting for ten years. In a video of the treatment, Tulisa is having her skin pulled with two pen-like devices.
Facialist Jo-Anne Newman describes the beauty therapy as using ‘the latest advancements in skin treatment to restore normal frequencies within your skin cells resulting in sculpted facial contours, progressive skin improvements for anti-ageing, redness, acne and or pigmentation.’ Treatments can cost between £150 and £345, so it’s a good job she’s getting paid to be in Australia.
Moving on to her eyebrows, Tulia does in fact get them tattooed on, as suspected by some viewers.
After getting them done earlier this year, she posed for a selfie and wrote: ‘Now I shall wake up like this.’ To finish off her look, Tulisa also chose to get her lips tattooed to ‘match the brows’.
Both tattoos last between one and three years, so if presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly fancy extending the series by a few months then the female boss is more than prepared.
Tulisa didn’t provide details of her eyelashes so she’s either incredibly blessed, or she’s invested in some extensions.
