Time flies when you’re working hard! 2023 marked a year of incredible growth for the Frontline Resource Institute and I couldn't be prouder of the successes we have achieved. FRI was founded two years ago, and we have come so far in that brief time. I am immensely grateful for my amazing team and FRI’s conceptual committee for their guidance and leadership in 2023. Let me remind you, FRI has one clear vision: healthy, safe, and sustainable environments for all. In 2023, we completed our comprehensive needs assessment of 300 frontline organizations, partnered with Writing for Green to provide grant writing and training to help organizations secure over $130 million in federal funding, and so much more. As we enter a new year, the work doesn’t stop. We know there is still much to be done in the fight for environmental equity, and we will continue to build momentumin2024. We’ve compiled everything we’ve learned into one simple equation: data + storytelling + resources = movement building. Aswe follow this equation in the new year, we are moving closer to our vision than ever before. Check out our full report to see more 2023 wins here: https://lnkd.in/eejidyYZ

Now more than ever, we must keep our eyes on the prize of what we must do to ensure a world where we all can have access to opportunity and a safe and healthy planet. This week, I had the privilege of joining Jobs for the Future (JFF) at their annual Horizon conference to document the journey of five entrepreneurs who are leading the way in job creation for the green economy. (Shout out to Taj Ahmad Eldridge, the flyest investor and leader in climate)Tinia P., one of the entrepreneurs I've had the opportunity to follow, is turning food waste into valuable nutrients for the agriculture industry and training up a new workforce in the process. #SocialValue in ActionLast week Hatch held a round table with a diverse group of industry representatives to discuss what social value in action looks like and the approaches organisations are taking to delivering it.While social value continues to be an area of interest and important discussion, the best way to move from:“what is it” + “why do it” ➡️”HOW can we DO it” is learning from each other.Thank you to Dr Kelly Watson for sharing the lessons and experience gained from Hatch’s work in the UK, and thank you to everyone who attended and shared their perspectives.Alison Cleary Nick Arcaro Andrew Cairns Catherine Curry Jill Rossouw Danny Dracic Linda Smith David Ritter Gigi Yuen Melbourne Airport Christine Thornton Mike Day Ryan Darby Lola Bateman We definitely bit off more than we could chew in one session. We, all, have our limitations and priorities change based on current challenges but that doesn't mean you cannot keep getting back on track. So, this is me, getting back on track with my writing that I started at the beginning of this year.Just, a quick one that I would love to hear your perspective on. https://lnkd.in/eA3ZEYpF
