I waited too long and it’s sold out! Well done. I’ll get in early next year. Bigger venue anytime soon? I mean it won’t be the same, but so many people want in on this.

⭐ Ignition Feature of the Week - Perspective URL Parameters ⭐Perspective is designed to operate in a web browsing environment and URLs are how you navigate to a project. Perspective puts you in control of the URLs. Each project has an initial URL or home page when you first navigate, such as:http://localhost:8088/data/perspective/client/DemoWhere "Demo" is the name of the project. You can decide which page you want displayed on the initial URL. From there, you can mount different pages at different URLs, called a Page Configuration. For example, you can allow the user to navigate to an alarm view by navigating to ".../alarms" or a history view by navigatingto ".../history". You don't have to create additional URLs, however, it can make the user experience better. Plus, you can create bookmarkable URLs that can easily be shared with other users to make navigation to a specific page of the application quicker.Just like with other web applications, Perspective allows you to pass parameters through the URL into your application, effectively making your URL dynamic. There are two ways to pass parameters: path parameters and query parameters.Path parameters are variable parts of a URL path. Perspective interprets these parameters as input parameters to the view, just like input parameters when building templates. You can define one or more path parameters with unique names. For example, suppose we had a page that displayed information about a Tower site and our system had many Tower sites. If each Tower has an ID number that uniquely identifies it, we can use a parameter to configure the page’s URL so that a user can navigate to any Tower using their browser’s URL bar.http://localhost:8088/data/perspective/client/Demo/tower/1/http://localhost:8088/data/perspective/client/Demo/tower/2/Query parameters are a defined set of parameters (key-value pair) attached to the end of the URL to provide additional information. They are defined after the "?" at the end. Perspective maps these parameters to the urlParams property (from page > props when binding). You can define one or more query parameters to use. They are not designed for navigating but rather to provide specific content or actions on the page. Most commonly, query parameters are used to set values for filters on the page, such as a start date or end date or selected value in a dropdown list.http://localhost:8088/data/perspective/client/Demo/charts?mode=realtime&unitOfTime=8&measureOfTime=minutesURL parameter passing allows your application to be dynamic, object-oriented, and provides more flexibility to your users.👍 Benefits:Create bookmarkable URLs to share with others. Customize views with dynamic data from your URL.📃 Documentation:https://lnkd.in/gWeQzCmt📺 Inductive University:https://lnkd.in/gXft8gdD#ignition Inductive Automation #travisignitionfeature

Digital transformation requires a strong OT foundation. That includes connecting to I/O, adding context to data through standard models, building a strong SCADA / MES system, delivering data to different systems on-premise and in the cloud, and building powerful enterprise dashboards. Join our webinar to see how to put the puzzle pieces together!
